Obituary of Frances McGathey (Quinn) (Nee Moore)
Sadly at 94 years of age our dear mother passed away on July 29/2024 at Carleton Lodge
Frances was the daughter of the late James and Myrtle Moore of Ottawa, sister of the late Dennis Moore and wife of the late Wendall McGathey
Frances is survived by her daughter Debbie Quinn and sons Rob(Sheila) and Peter Quinn. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Megan (Mark), Emily(Merylee), Olivia and Bradley along with great grandchildren Theo, Rory and Max
Frances loved all things art and especially anything to do with oil painting. Her pictures grace the walls of many friends and family and those paintings will forever keep her in our hearts. In addition to painting, Frances was a talented quilter, rug hooker and avid reader.
Rest peacefully Mom. Your will to live and persevere was remarkable.
Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Carleton Lodge. Your gentle caring, kindness and compassion made a great difference in Mom’s final years.
A private graveside burial will take place at a later date.
