It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Crombie McNeill on Friday, June 7, 2024. Crombie passed with his wife Susan and daughter Tanya by his side.
Crombie was well known for his amazing work as a professional photographer. His career as a photojournalist spanned over 6 decades with assignments taking him all over the world. He received tremendous recognition and accolades for his most recent work and exhibitions on ‘Street People’. Crombie’s passion for showing street people with dignity and a sense of humour is certainly honoured and reflected in his work.
Crombie was a very quiet and humble man with a gentle nature who touched the hearts of those who had the pleasure to cross his path and will be missed by all. He will most especially be missed by his wife Susan and daughter Tanya.
At Crombie’s request, there will be no formal funeral service.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Crombie’s memory may be made to the Ottawa Mission.
