Passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 one day short of his 97th birthday. Born August 8th 1927, a lifelong Ottawa resident, predeceased by his loving wife Rosemary (Booth). A pillar in the Ottawa community and 3rd generation owner operator of Nettleton’s Jewellery Ltd, until its closure in 2023. Father to Richard (Jean), Cameron (Suzanne) and Geoffrey (Cindy). Cherished grandfather to Stacy, Alyssa, Mathew, Jessica, Rob, Katy, Sarah. And most beloved great-grandfather to Scarlett, Atticus, Bennett, Wyatt, Nola, Fiona and Jake, plus many nieces and nephews. Remembered fondly by friends and acquaintances throughout the Ottawa area and Florida. Predeceased by his brothers Jim ( Patricia), Gordon and George, sister Frances, survived by Grant Woolsey (brother in-law)
Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Byron Ave.), Ottawa on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 10:00am -12 noon. Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon. Reception to follow.
