Obituary of Charles Norman Armstrong
Charles Norman “Skip” Armstrong passed away peacefully in hospital on Thursday November 7, 2024.
Born August 5, 1936, to Annie and Charles “CD” Armstrong. Predeceased by brother David. Attended Acadia University and earned a BA. Worked with Metropolitan Life Insurance for 29 years. Sat on various boards and participated in numerous fundraising activities during his lifetime.
Leaves behind his lovely wife Patricia, daughter Kimberly (Paul), son Michael, daughter Deanna, grandchildren Charles Alexander (Leanne), Nicholas (Monique), Arianne (Travis), Daniel, Joshua, and great grandson Callum. Along with sister-in-law Matilda and brother-in-law Taylor Baiden and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Skip was an avid reader with over 17,000 books in his collection. He also enjoyed travelling, classical music and spending time with his family.
Please join the family on Wednesday November 13th between 1pm and 3pm for a Celebration of Life at Pinecrest Remembrance – 2500 Baseline Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
