It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Houle (nee Lavergne), a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on May 30th, 2024 after a courageous 23-year battle with cancer.
Born to Marcel and Alice Lavergne, and sister of Paul Lavergne, Carol inherited a legacy of strength and compassion. Her life was a testament to resilience and unwavering love. Despite the many challenges that came with her illness, Carol faced each day with an inspiring spirit and a radiant smile.
Carol was the devoted mother of two cherished children, Sydney and Ashley. Her children were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into nurturing and loving them, ensuring they grew up surrounded by warmth and kindness. Her guidance, strength, and unconditional love will continue to be felt in their hearts forever.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in knowing that Carol’s spirit remains with us, guiding and inspiring us every day. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held on June 28th, 2024 at Heritage Funeral Complex from 1-4pm. We encourage those attending to wear colourful attire to commemorate Carol. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carol’s memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or an organization related to cancer research or support.
