Loving mother to Douglas John Cumming and Gwendolyn Dawn Buck (Darrell) of Ottawa and Brian Fraser Cumming (Kate Laird) of Kingston.
Proud grandmother of Christopher Buck, Benjamin Buck, Kyle Cumming and Karissa Cumming.
Dear daughter of the late John W. Campbell and the late Muriel Campbell.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Mary Gemmell (the late Tom). Predeceased by her sister Lorna MacGregor (the late Archie) and brother Jack Campbell (the late Gail). Bev will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Bev had many interests including pastoral care, woodworking, sewing, painting, attending theatre and musical theatre.
Bev graduated from the Royal Victoria Hospital (Montreal) as an R.N. in August 1957 and from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Nursing in May 1972. She worked in various hospitals in Quebec, British Columbia, Ontario and finally at CHEO in Ottawa as the Neurology Clinic nurse for many years.
The family would like to send special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus for providing great care and compassion over the past several weeks.
Friends and family may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow the service. A private family interment will take place in Maxville, Ontario after the reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice would be gratefully accepted.
