June 18, 1956–November 7, 2024
It is with a heavy heart that we announce Terry’s passing unexpectedly at home on November 7, 2024, at the age of 68.
He is predeceased by his parents, Jack Harper and Mary Harper, as well as his sister, Judy Harper. Left to grieve are his daughters Katie and Tara (Brandon Beers) and their mother, Diana Harper. He is the grandfather of Rachel and Morgan Beers and the loved brother of Jane Barry (Jim) of British Columbia; Mike Harper (Cathy) of Cobourg; Wendy Harper; and Nancy Harper of Oshawa. Terry was a beloved uncle to many nephews.
Terry had a love for sports, especially hockey (yes, he was a Leaf fan) and baseball, a love which he passed down to his beloved daughter Katie. He was very skilled with his hands and had a passion for building. This included refinishing and fixing things meticulously, which he did so up until the end.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the SickKids or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
“Cause I’m as free as a bird now.
And this bird you cannot change.”
Forever loved, Fly Free
