Cox, Kenneth Keith ‘Ken’
Peacefully passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 87th year.
Devoted husband of Marjorie for 65 years. Loving Dad of Julie Hilton (Paul) and Lorraine Patton (Jamie). Cherished Granddad of Hilary, Laura, Jack, Ben (Erica), and Tim. Dear brother of Diane and Tony.
Ken was born in England and as a young child, during WWII, he was evacuated. He went on to work on steam trains in England.
In 1959, he married the love of his life, Marjorie. He immigrated to Canada in 1965, eventually settling in Oshawa in 1967. He started his career as a Bread Salesman, then become Owner/Operator of Ken Co. Automotive Supplies.
Ken’s true love was motorcycles and was thrilled when he was able to purchase his beloved vintage 1949 Vincent HRD Rapide motorcycle. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed hosting many family gatherings in his beautiful backyard.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 28, 2024 from 12-1 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.armstrongfh.ca
