It is always difficult to say goodbye to someone we love and cherish. It is with heavy heart that the family of Laura Lynn-Anne Fox-Martin, announces her passing on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, after a three-year, courageous battle with cancer.
Laura, age 53, is predeceased by her father, Wayne Fox and her cherished Nana and Granddad, Doreen and Ralph Getz. She is survived by her loving husband, Brian Martin; sons: Malcom Kannenberg (Kaila) and Kelvin Kannenberg; her grandson and her everything, Tobias Kannenberg; sibling: Lesa Fox: Aunts: Shelly Sheard (Larry) and Tracy Bosley (Vaughn) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Laura loved fishing and entered the Perch Festival every year. She loved camping and traveling around with her grandson, Tobias, every summer. Cooking and family were also some of her passions. She had a huge heart and was an advocate of donating food and clothing to food banks and charitable organizations, often cashing in coupons for baby food and diapers and giving it to charities. Donations in Laura’s memory are greatly appreciated and can be made to your favourite charity, hospice or cancer society.
Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E. Orillia on Saturday October 14th from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by an interment at St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orilla.
