Barbara passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in her 87th year. Predeceased by her loving son Jim Turcotte and parents Marion and Cecil Chapman. Greatly missed by her children Marianne Girling (Stephen), Cecil Turcotte and Garry Turcotte (Anna), her grandchildren Melinda, Jessica and Anja, and great grandchildren Elle, Hannah and Jack. Sister of Ted Chapman (Marguerite), the late Fred Chapman (late Carol), Eileen Thomson (late Bruce) and Mary Jane Wills (Evan). Remembered by her friend and neighbour John Boyer, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 12-2 pm. Interment will follow at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Barbara was a devoted crossing guard in Amherstview for many years, for those desiring memorial donations to Amherstview Public School will be remembered with appreciation by the family.
