Obituary
Virginia Natalia Goulart DaSilva
With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Virginia Natalia Goulart DaSilva on the evening of October 15, surrounded by her family. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 67 years, Manuel, their baby girl, whom they lost in 1964, and her cherished twin sister, who passed when they were just nine months old. Born in Pico, Açores, Virginia moved to Canada in 1959 and was one of 14 siblings, with whom she shared a lifelong bond. She leaves behind her sister Zulmira and brothers Manuel and Norberto.
Virginia was a loving mother to Manuel (Elina), Maria, and John (Jillian), and a devoted grandmother to Ryan, Jacob (Tracey), Janine, Aaron, Steven, Siobhan (Bledar), Kirsten, and Braden. Her great-grandchildren, Summer, Finn, Charlotte, Ciara, and Brody, were the light of her life.
Her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved her. The family invites you to join them in celebrating Virginia’s life. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2024 at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Matthew’s Parish, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville, on October 23 at 11 am, followed by interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
Virginia was a woman of profound love, resilience, and joy, with a zest for life and a heart that embraced everyone. She will be missed beyond measure.
