Marielle Fleur-Ange Marie Jenkins nee Deshaies of North Bay passed away June 27, 2024 at Eastholme, Powasson, ON
Marielle was born on September 8, 1939 to Jeanne and Ubald Deshaies
She is survived by her children Dan (Joe-Ann) Linda (Andrew) Sandra (Mark), Nancy (Mike) many loved grandchildren and siblings Solange (Lambert), Collette (Henri-Paul), Gerry (Sue). Predeceased by children Bernie (Laurie) and Suzanne (Bud) Street and brother Rejean.
Marielle married Glenn Cleroux on October 22, 1960 and bravely embraced life with three children at the tender age of 22. A family she nurtured and grew with. Her and Glenn grew that family and raised them together as they embarked on many adventures. Together they enjoyed moose hunts in Quebec, fishing on Black Lake and nurtured many friendships during their treasured life together.
Their beautiful love story ended with Glenn’s sudden passing in 1978.
Marielle’s zest for life never faltered and in 1980 she married Peter Jenkins and together they built a life in Earlton surrounded by her sister and brother-in-law and many friends with whom they shared many special memories. Misfortune followed her and she was widowed a second time in 2006.
She maintained her independence and spent the next chapter of her life surrounded by her children, grandchildren and siblings sharing moments she cherished each day.
Family receiving friends at St Jean Baptiste Church, Earlton, ON on Tuesday July 2nd from 12 noon until time of funeral mass at 1 pm.
We honor her love of family, her fur babies, gardening and pickling anything that would fit in a mason jar. All of life’s moments that brought her much joy, passion and pride in all she loved and embraced. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her and knew her kind and gentle soul. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Eastholme for the exceptional care given to our mother. We will be forever grateful.
