Passed away peacefully at Nipissing Manor on Tuesday December 3rd, 2024. Predeceased by his wife Anita Chatelaine. Loving father of Vital (Monique), Christine, Don (Cheryl) and Gerry (Sue). Loving grandfather of Louis (Chantal), Tiffany (Jody), Jessica (Caleb), Francis, Niko, Tori (Skylor), Mathew, Jared, Rosalie (Pier-luc), Joshua (Courtney), Mitchell (Jen), Cam, Carter, Emily and Grace. Proud great grandfather of Ayvah, Evan, Lily, Madison, Tyson, Ivan and Charlie. Leon is predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Rose Chatelain and his siblings Therese, Irene and Claire.
Leon spent the last 9 years at Nipissing Manor, and we would like to thank all the staff for the care and love they provided, and for putting up with all of his shenanigans. As we all know, he was quite the jokester.
You will be sadly missed but will be forever in our hearts. Enjoy dancing with Mom once again. Love you forever, Dad & Pépère.
A Celebration of life will be held at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday December 16, 2024, at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Nipissing Manor (Corbeil) would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
