Beryl Proctor Obituary
Beryl Audrey Proctor, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
Born October 20, 1932, Beryl was the cherished wife and soul mate of Raymond George Proctor, whom she lovingly supported for 61 years until his passing in 2013. Together, they created a life filled with love and shared adventures, raising their children Malcolm (Kym) of Alabama and Lesley Contant (Daniel) of Callander. Beryl was a devoted grandmother to Julia Proctor, Eric Proctor (Angelica), James Proctor (Lauren), Shawn Contant, Jillian Trnka (Dan), and great-grandmother to Eva Proctor, Alex Proctor, Lyric Proctor, Aliyah Trnka and Rylan Trnka.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret White (London, England) and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews there.
Originally from England, Beryl journeyed with Ray to Canada in 1958, eventually settling in North Bay in 1959. Her life was marked by her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She cherished every moment spent with them and always had a kind word and embrace to offer. Her gentle spirit and nurturing presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Beryl was also an avid dog lover. She and Ray spent many happy times with their canine companions and made numerous friends through their passion for dogs.
Beryl also enjoyed her weekly knitting group in Callander and formed lasting friendships.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff on A3 and C1 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and the doctors from the Callander Medical Center, whose care and support eased Beryl’s journey in her final days.
