FORMICA, Marianna (nee Cerminara) – Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at the age of 92. Cherished wife of the late Gherardo Formica (2000). Beloved mother of Louie (Mary) Formica, Jack Formica, Rita (Frank) Marrari, Angie Formica-Baker (Fred Ranalli), the late Tony ‘Budsy’ Formica (2022) and dear mother-in-law of Barb Formica. Cherished Nonna of Cristina (Michael) Matesa, Michael Formica, Jason (Ashley) Formica, Matthew Formica (Allie Farrell), Paul (Rachel) Marrari, Daniella Marrari (Daniele Falduto), Jerald Marrari, Samantha Baker and Sydney Baker. Loving Bisnonna of Jaxsen, Emma and Mila. Dear sister of Antoinette (the late Joe) Panucci, Mario (Annie) Cerminara, sister-in-law of Giuliana (late Elio) Formica and Mona (late Frank) Cerminara. Marianna will be lovingly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Giacchino and Carolina (nee Cara) Cerminara, sister Filomena (Giacomo) Bianco, brothers Costantino (Lois) Cerminara, Joe (Angelina) Cerminara), in-laws Umberto (Antonina) Formica and Tony (Caterina) Formica. Marianna was one of the most loving people you would ever meet, generous, kind, gentle, and had a heart of gold. She was a devout Catholic and lived for her family. The family would like to thank the many wonderful caregivers that showed so much love and compassion towards our Mom, It was through the amazing care from the Palliative care team from St. Elizabeth that we were able to honour her wish for her to pass peacefully at home with her family by her side. Friends are invited to join her family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main Street, visiting Friday July 12, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm, and 6 pm to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday July 13, 2024 at St. Ann’s Church at 10:00 am. The Rite of Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum.
