It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leo Murphy on November 28th, 2023, at
at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Maureen (d. 2017) for 47 years. Devoted father of Shawn (Carol) and Ryan (Amy d. 2018). Loving Grampy of Connor and Michael. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by sisters Mary and Leona.
Leo was a talented athlete and coach of many sports. He was inducted into and a proud member of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame, memorial cup winner with the Toronto Marlies, and an all around great hockey player. He was well known for his sense of humour and was the king of one liners, his infections laugh could make anyone smile.
The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Saturday December 9th, 2023, between 11am and 1pm with a service to celebrate the life of Leo to begin at 1pm.
