MESSINA, Giuseppe – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Angela (nee Fraone, 2016). Cherished father of Rose (Luigi) Visca, Frank (Debbie) Messina, Carmela (Joe) Bilotta and Josie (Mario) Rosano. Loving Nonno of Joey (Jennelle), Tommy (Jen), Frank (Abby), Frank (Tina), Angela, Elisabetta, Joey (Natachea), Johnny (Jazmyn), Angel (Shamus), Mario, Nicholas, Bisnonno of 16 and step-great-grandfather of 8. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings-in-law Francesco (Carmela) Fraone, Domenic (Frances) Fraone, Teresa (the late Giuseppe) Gugliotta, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Rosina Messina, siblings ‘dearest’ Carmela (Francesco), Pietro, Antonio, Guilia, Caterina and sister-in-law Giovanna (Giovanale). Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Tuesday January 16, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Mausoleum, where he will be reunited with his wife and love of his life, Angela.
