Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, on November 1, 2024, at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Annie (Borchich) for 55 years.
Loving father of Petra Koprivica (Dragan).
Dear brother of Dragan (Bosa) and the late Stevo (late Kata)
brother-in-law of Evette Borchich (late Walter Borchich), and the late Milan and the late Joan Borchich. Survived by nieces Nada and Mira, nephews Milorad, Gregory and Milan (Aleksandra) and several great-nephews, great-nieces, Kumovi, extended family and friends in Canada, U.S. and Europe. George was a founding member of his beloved St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Niagara Falls and served his church faithfully for many years as groundskeeper, candle tutor, choir member and Fish Fry volunteer. George loved to take care of his yard and enjoyed his years of gardening. He worked at the former Bright’s Wines for over 30 years and always spoke fondly of the friends that he made during that time.
The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Friday November 8, 2024, between 3pm and 8pm. Pomen will be conducted at 7pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 9, 2024, at 10:30am at the funeral home, and then to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church where service will be held at 11am. Burial at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery to follow.
