LUCIN, Elizabeth Mina (nee Horner)- Peacefully, on February 8, 2024, with family by her side at the age of 74. Loving mother of Skye Debra (Steven). Cherished grandmother of Sarah, Jessica and Madison-Skye (Joseph). Great grandmother of Caden and Octavia. Survived by nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents James Harvey Horner (1968) and Sylvia May Rose Warren (1961), and her brothers Clifford Warren and William Horner.
Elizabeth worked for Casino Niagara, retiring in 2014. She leaves behind life-long friends Diane, Sandra, Lorraine, Stanka, Kathy and Rhonda.
Elizabeth loved thrift shopping, gardening, sewing and crafts, and she was a lover of cats, often bringing home strays!
Special thanks Dr. Mary Salib and staff of the Walker Family Cancer Centre, to the amazing nurses at Valley Park Lodge, who took care of Mom (you know who you are), to Joanne and Mirella for their kindness and support after Mom’s passing and to Fr. Daniel Corso from Our Lady of the Scapular Church, for saying the final prayers.
Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society.
