ARMENTI, Addolorata ‘Maria’ – Passed away peacefully in her sleep, with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday November 22, 2023 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of 67 years to Pasquale and devoted mother of Angelo (Silvana) Armenti and Tony (Rosella) Armenti. Cherished Nana to Matthew (Jessica), Mark, Simona and Loreana Armenti and loving great grandmother to Evan and Nathan. Survived by her sister Gina (the late John) Cicero and brother-in-law Albert (the late Raffaela) Armenti, as well as many nieces and nephews. Maria was born in Castelpetroso,Italy on March 27, 1931, she married Pasquale on October 4, 1956 and immigrated to Canada in 1958 for a better life and settled in Ignace, Ontario. As Pasquale worked, Maria took care of her young sons Angelo and Tony before following her family to Niagara Falls in 1965. As her sister Gina helped with the kids, Maria decided to go to work and found a job with Ferri leather. A few years later she pursued her trade as a Seamstress and worked from home designing and making dresses and wedding party dresses until the age of 79 years old when she retired. During her life she was a very religious and positive person who followed her faith daily. She often visited friends in nursing homes and always with her famous smile or laugh. Maria always placed her family and others ahead of herself and preached respect and her Catholic faith. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the PSW’s from Paramed for their care over the last few years and most recently the nurses from St. Elizabeth, GNGH, and the PSW’s from Bayshore Health Care. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Sunday November 26, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 27, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas More Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. In memory of Maria, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Church and would be appreciated. Online condolences at pattersonfuneralhome.com
