Passed away peacefully December 12, 2023, at her home at Sunshine Center, Luther Village on the Park, Waterloo, ON. Millie was 92. Beloved wife of the late Stuart (Stu) Redford Rhem who predeceased her on February 21, 2014.
Deeply missed by her children Susan Rhem of Regina, SK; Kathy (Michael) Faragalli of Nags Head, NC; Carol (Rob) Chester of Goderich, ON; and Norm (Nancy Jackson) of Hillsboro, OR. Forever in the hearts of her grandchildren: Joe & Kristen; Phil & Victoria; Tess & Chris; Laura; Jes & Mike; Bryan & Brittany; as well as 11 great grandchildren: Giuliana, Michael & Hudson; Sam & Vera; Emily & Abby; Ben, Kassidy, Jensen & Everleigh.
Millie was predeceased by her parents Rev. Norman and Irene (Montgomery) Keffer and by her sister, Sr Anne Keffer.
Friends and family may gather at Trinity Lutheran Church, 23 Church Street, New Hamburg on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, for visitation beginning at 10:00 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Tanya Varner officiating. Millie has requested that those attending wear bright colours to celebrate her life and love of colour.
For those unable to attend in person, the funeral will be available via livestream through Trinity Lutheran Church.
Donations may be made to ROOF, Canadian Lutheran World Relief or Trinity Lutheran Church and can be done through the funeral home.
