CHARTRAND, Bernice Cora (Perrin)
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Bernice Chartrand after a courageous 15-year battle with Cancer on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 71.
Cherished and loving mother of Yvonne Chartrand (Jeff Bauer) and Tracy Chartrand (Mike Hilts). Devoted Nana to Brittany (Derek Allen), Ian Lewis (Nana’s Boy), Kory Hilts, and Tamara McNeil. Proud and caring great nana of Colton, Leigha, Grayson, Grace, Rylee, and Abigail. Bernice will be missed by her sisters, Barb Brown, Shirley Perrin (Roy Huffmon), brothers, Rob Perrin (Suzy), Shawn Perrin (Kim), by her many nieces, nephews, friends, and other chosen daughters.
Predeceased by her father and mother Charles and Lorraine (Langlois) Perrin, and by brothers Floyd Perrin and Danny Perrin.
Bernice had the gift to gab, if you wanted to know how she was doing you had better be ready to visit for the day. In her younger years, Bernice had the nickname of “Beaky”. She was the most accepting person and loved everyone for who they were. She absolutely loved life and her family. Bernice enjoyed her time thrift shopping at all the local thrift stores, she was a gifter of everything and enjoyed hosting and sharing delicious meals with everyone. Bernice loved her bingo games. Bernice had a passion for listening to music and was the most incredible person anyone could meet.
A private family viewing will take place with cremation to follow. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at 125B Whitney Place, Kitchener.
