Karen Allison (Wodzak) passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on her birthday, on August 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Karen Allison, beloved wife of the late Earl, loving mother of Dale & Lynn of Settler, Alberta and Brenda & George Smith of Bancroft, beloved grandmother of Steven & Brandy, Jennifer & Grant, Ashley, Sean, Bradley & Erica and Amber & Drew and great grandmother of Liam, Chase, Cole, Jade, Alyssa, Makenzie, Chloe, Emery, Georgia and Arlo. Karen is survived by her brother, Gordon & Janice Wodzak of New Carlow and was predeceased by Ken and Emerson and by her parents, Herman and Erma (Bandy) Wodzak. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and by her many friends. Karen was born in New Carlow and lived and worked in the Bancroft area all of her life, raising her family here. During her career, Karen worked in a number of restaurants and later for Hinterland Handcrafts. A very social person who loved being around others and always doing what she could to help. Her family meant the world to her and seeing her grandchildren married and begin families of their own was of paramount importance to her. Karen (Mom, Grandma, and great Grandma) will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
