On Monday April 8th, 2024, Keith passed after a short illness. He was 68. Keith was the beloved son of the late Chester and Catherine (Tompkins) Bassett of Nepean, ON and much loved brother of Dave ( Elaine) and Liana (Ted) all of Ottawa.
He was a very much loved uncle to Christine, Courtney and Briane Bassett and Scott MacMillan. Great uncle to Nathan, Edward, Ashtyn, Taryn and Brock. Special godfather to Zach Dubuc and Martin Doyle.
Keith was so loved not only by his family but by a variety of friends and coworkers over the years, near and far who will all miss his funny stories, his considerate and understanding way, thoughtful gestures, and his sarcastic wit.
Keith grew up in Carleton Heights, Nepean and worked throughout his whole life in Ottawa. He very much enjoyed his summers at the family cottage at Gardiner Shore Mississippi Lake.
Funeral Service to take place at Tubman Funeral Homes, Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road on Sunday April 14, 2024, at 10 AM reception to follow. Private inurnment at later date.
In lieu of flowers donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
