It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear loving mother Doris Lillian Blondeau at the age of 96.
Pre-deceased by her husband James Clare Blondeau, her son Ronald Bruce Blondeau, and her son-in-law Paul Fortin.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear loving mother Doris Lillian Blondeau at the age of 96.
Her career included working as a Clerk for Birks Jewelry in Ottawa, as a Disc Jockey on CHIB, a volunteer-run radio station in Chibougamau, Quebec, and as a Clerk at Health & Welfare Canada with the Bureau of Dangerous Drugs in Ottawa.
Pre-deceased by her husband James Clare Blondeau, her son Ronald Bruce Blondeau, and her son-in-law Paul Fortin. She is survived by her daughter Paula Blondeau and son James Blondeau; her grandchildren Julian, Sara & Saskia Fortin; her sisters Diana, Hilda & Edythe (pre-deceased by Grace, Lyla, Marjorie); her brothers Rick (Louise) & Elmer (June) (predeceased by Harvey); as well as many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the Queensway Carleton Hospital doctors and nurses for the support and care she received.
We would also like to express our deepest heartfelt gratitude to her sister Diana who provided love, care, support, and companionship on a daily basis.
Family viewing at Tubman Funeral Homes, Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean on Tuesday, August 20 at 11:00 am. Graveside service at St. Paul’s Dunrobin Anglican Church, 1118 Thomas A. Dolan Pkwy, Dunrobin at 12:45 pm. Family and guests are invited to the Heart & Soul Tea Room next door to the church at 1:15 for an informal gathering.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul’s Dunrobin Church or the Ottawa Food Bank.
