Passed away suddenly and peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Friendly Manor Nursing Home. Beloved wife of Gene for 60 years. Loving mother of Patsy Rhines, Dan (Leanne) Marlow, Rick (Shannon) Marlow, Cindy (Wade) Mitchell, Krista (Brad) Lambert.
Granny of Erin (Jason), AJ (Rachel), Jesse, Anna, Maddy, Jack, Owen, Georgia, Cassie, Makenna, Reid, Marley, and Ruby. Great Granny of Nathan, Bella, Luke, Amelia, and Lawton
Survived by siblings Ann (late Vern), Pat (Isabelle), Mary-Lou (Arlene), Lora Lee (Bonnie), and Kenny (Cathy). Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Emily Sloan and siblings Arnold (Phyllis), Owen (late Jean), Donald (late Gayle), Mike (Linda) and Eric (Claudette).
Rita spent her life nursing and taking care of others, 35 years spent as head nurse at the nursing home she most recently called her home for the last 5 years. We are forever thankful for the love and care given to our beautiful Wife, Mom & Granny. Always remember … “We Got You”
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the Wartman Funeral Home – Napanee. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Napanee on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 11 am. Interment St Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Deseronto.
