Wagar, Gregory Paul “Greg”
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Greg on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Cherished husband and best friend of almost 55 years to Brenda Wagar (nee Lasher). Loving father to Scott (Jen) Wagar and Amy (Eugene) Conners. Caring grandfather to Aidan, Cole, and Ewan. Sadly missed by his sister Linda (Gilbert) Myatt and brother Bruce (Janie) Wagar. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Greg was a part of the Napanee business community for decades. He was actively involved in various local sports. Greg served his community as a trustee on the Board of Education, commissioner of the Napanee Public Utilites, Reeve on town council representing Napanee with the County of Lennox and Addington and as such, served as chairman of the board of Lenadco. He also served on the Napanee Charitable Foundation.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2-5 pm at the Wartman Funeral Home – Napanee. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday March 11, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Wartman Funeral Reception Centre following interment. For those who are not able to attend the service in person you can join us by Zoom, the link can be found under the service details on Greg’s memorial page on the funeral home website.
