Peacefully, with family by her side at the L&A County General Hospital, on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023. Elizabeth Edith Dowling of Napanee at age 87. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Dowling and dear mother of Debbie Dowling of Napanee; Lynn Szydlowski (Peter) of Toronto; Kevin Dowling (Shari) of Belleville; and Mark Dowling (Linda) of Toronto. Grandmother of Ryan (Jenna); Amanda Kenniphaas (Jon); Derek (Paula) and Paris Dowling. Fondly remembered by 12 great-great grandchildren. Deeply missed by her best friends Alvin Dafoe, Shirley Lamont, Donna Covert and Pat Keene. Also survived by brothers Ronald Fitchett (Elsie) and Duane Fitchett (late June). The family will receive friends at the Hannah Funeral Home, 123 Dundas St. W., Napanee on Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, 179 West St., Napanee on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Memorial donations to the L&A County General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
