Obituary of Josephus van Bommel
Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre Victoria Campus on Saturday, September 7th, 2024. Josephus “Joe” van Bommel of Delaware in his 78th year.
Predeceased by his loving wife Josephine “Joey” van Bommel (2022). Loving father of Jennifer (Mark) Chwiecko, Joanne (Adam) Boyd, Karen (Toine) van Dorst and predeceased by son Bryan (1993). Loving and proud Pappo to four beautiful grandchildren Angelique, Brian, Monique van Dorst and Amber Boyd.
Dear brother-in-law to Marris and his wife Tina Bos, Antonia and her husband Martin van Bommel, Arnold and his wife Anne Marie Bos, and John and his wife Sivia Bos. Dear brother to Anthony and Pieter (deceased during childhood), Wim van Bommel (2018) and his wife Truus (1999), John van Bommel (2013) his wife Annie, Louie van Bommel (1993) and his wife Anna, Toon van Bommel (2023) and his wife Toos (2020), Karel van Bommel (2017) and his wife Jaantje, Paula Koolen and her husband Ted (2020), Frank van Bommel (2001), Maria Boogaart (2017) and her husband John, Martin van Bommel and his wife Antonia, Wilma Goertz and her husband Joe (2009).
Sadly missed and survived by many nieces, nephews, in Canada, the Netherlands, and abroad.
A Mass will be held at the St. George Catholic Church in Byron on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 commencing at 11am with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations to Muscular Dystrophy, Easter Seals Camp, or the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
