Obituary of Earl Smith
Peacefully in his 78th year, Earl Smith Jr. of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation passed into the spirit world. Survived by his wife Victoria A. Deleary.
Predeceased by his parents Earl Smith Sr., Elsie Doris Smith (Blackbird). Survived by brothers Kenneth, Curtis (Vera), Carl (Kathy), Ellery (Karen) and sister Susan Smith.
He is survived by his children Jo Ellen Beveridge (Wes), Lorne Smith (Marcy), Natalie ‘Coby’ Smith (Martin ‘J.R.’ McGahey), Azure Wineman (Richard).
Lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Also known as ‘Injun’ all those years at Walpole Island First Nation. Retired police officer of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing and country music. Earl’s memory will live on in the hearts of the people he touched.
A private family service will be held at the Elliott – Madill Funeral Home, Mt. Brydges on Monday, December 2nd, 2024. Cremation to follow.
