Obituary of Coleen Brown
On Sunday, August 4th Coleen Alberta Antone Brown passed away peacefully. She was strong willed, determined, and always full of jokes and laughter. Most of all, she loved her family with all her heart.
After a long struggle with her health, Coleen is now at rest and can finally find some peace. Something that her loved ones knows she truly deserves.
Coleen was a member of the Church and choir, which was something that she passionate about and she was very spiritual right until the end. We can take comfort in knowing that she is now home and with her parents, siblings and many other family members that we all miss dearly.
We will miss Coleen, a wife, a mother, a sister, aunt and so much more to many people. We pray that she is in bliss and is lovingly looking down on us as we come together through this most difficult time.
We will always remember the good times and laughter that we have shared. Even when times were tough, she always stayed positive and kept that sense of humour we all loved. May we continue Coleen’s strength and use it as our own. She was loved and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and sense of humour.
Visitation and a service will be held at the Elliott- Madill Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 between 7 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Service will follow on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., with Minister Larry Ireland of The House of Prayer officiating; and Internment will follow at the House Of Prayer cemetary, located on Oneida of The Thames. Lunch to follow at the Oneida Community Centre. Coleen will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Tinley D. Brown of London, Ontario, children Mosey (Chantel) Betty (Andrew), and grandson Noah; siblings Glenna George, Kenneth Antone (Barbara), and Wesley Antone, and her dear friend Arnold Antone whom she loved and considered as a brother. Several nieces and nephews will also miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Wesley Antone, siblings Thomas Antone, Griffin Antone, Gilbert Antone, Douglas Antone, Patricia Doxtator, Opal Smith, and Tracey Antone, Betty Antone, Wayne Antone, and twins.
The family wish to extend their gratitude to the staff at LHSC for their kindness and care of our loved one, and to Elliott-Madill Funeral Home for the wonderful job they did taking care of Coleen’s arrangements.
