Michael John Bullard passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 11, 2024, at the age of 67, in Mississauga, Ontario. Born on June 12, 1957, Mike, was an enormous presence, characterized by a unique blend of humor and charm.
Mike attended Erindale Secondary School, where he began to shape his path towards a diverse and fulfilling career. He spent many years at Bell Canada, forming lasting friendships and honing his quick wit. His natural comedic talent led him to Yuk Yuk’s Komedy Kabaret, where he became a regular performer. Mike’s passion for comedy landed him his own late-night
talk show, “Open Mike” on CTV, which set records as the most popular talk show in Canada. Beyond his professional life, Mike was a dedicated movie
enthusiast and an avid rider of his beloved Harley Davidson. His larger-than-life personality left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Mike is survived by his brothers, Chuck (Karen), Pat (Amy), and Shawn, along with his adopted children, Dana and Donnie and their mother, Debbie. He will be missed by his 3 Aunts, Judy, June, and Audrey and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John (Jack) and Ruby Bullard.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held in the early part of the new year, with details to be announced. Arrangements entrusted to Skinner Middlebrook Funeral Home, Mississauga. Memories and messages of condolences may be shared with the family at skinnerandmiddlebrook.com.
