Kathleen Floss Luckasavitch, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 14, 2024. She was born on May 31, 1933. Kathleen’s kind spirit and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her.
In journey through life, Kathleen was preceded in death by her family members Kingston, Darrell, Danny, and Irvin. Although she will be deeply missed, Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her surviving family and friends.
Among those mourning her loss are her daughters Jeannie Ferby, Kathy Wallace, Sharon Marsh, as well as her loving son Derrick Jensen. Kathleen’s presence will be missed tremendously by her grandchildren Christine, Karry, Jason, Lawnie, Penny, Joey, Amy, Nicky, Dusty, and Jessie. Her great-grandchildren Hailey, Mitchall, Shane, Jayde, Heaven, Alex, Liam, Lincoln, Lion, Leo, Lilleigh, Myla, Chance and Deklan also feel the void left by her passing.
Kathleen also known as Katie, Kay, Big Grandma and Grandma Frog was an amazingly strong, loving, good Catholic, Irish woman. She believed in the power of prayer and her faith was always unwavering. She instilled in her children, grandchildren and great grand children the value of kindness, giving to others and helping those less fortunate.
Kay was an active member in the Cardiff Catholic Church ” Our Lady of Lourdes “. She volunteered at the church food bank and quite often would go the extra mile for those in need or even set a plate at her table for someone in the community that needed a family. She loved to have family and friends around and was loved by many.
She had the most beautiful blue eyes that sparkled and a smile that would light up a room. She was feisty and all will remember her for standing up for what she believed in or was right.
Her favorite sayings were –
” This too shall pass”
“God only gives you what you can handle in one day”
” Just pray ”
But better known for ” Where’s the salt ” and ” there’s not enough salt”
The family would like to thank all the Pinecrest nursing home front line staff that treated and cared for our mother like their own in the most difficult of times.
We would also like to thank all the people that showed our mother kindness and made her smile.
She was an amazing woman and will live on in the hearts of many.
Service to commence at Hunter Community Cemetery in Stickney, New Brunswick at a later date.
Donations can be made in Kathleen’s memory to an Alzheimer’s or Dementia charity of your choice.
