It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Andrew Raymond McCloskey, who left us after a short but courageous battle, surrounded by his loved ones. Andrew’s life was marked by his deep love for animals, cars, history, and a fascination with extra-terrestrials. His dedication to his work at Brampton Transit was unwavering, and his colleagues remember him as a dedicated, passionate professional and wonderful man.
Andrew was a natural storyteller, his charisma leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a wonderful man remembered for his kindness, humor, and genuine care for others. His work family at Brampton Transit mourns the loss of a great friend and an exceptional team member.
He was a beloved husband to Maria, a devoted father to Michelle, and a cherished brother & sister-in-law to Rob & Lori McCloskey. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe & Michelle Carneiro, and his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Pierce, Ashley, and Michael.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Doctors, Dr. Milosevic and Nurse Ralph at Trillium Mississauga Hospital for their tireless efforts and compassionate care during Andrew’s time with them.
A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held in August, with details to follow. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the wonderful memories and stories he shared with us, and he will forever remain in our hearts.
