Murray Raabe Obituary
Murray Raabe, 75, of Fraserville, ON, died August 13, 2024 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
He was born on September 14th, 1948, to Esther and Earl Raabe in Pembroke, ON.
He married Paulette McCrea on June 7th, 1997.
He worked as a Correctional Officer and Supervisor at Millbrook Correctional Centre for most of his career where he was affectionately known as Moe to the many friends he made there. He eventually retired from Central East Correctional Centre in 2001.
He was an avid sports fan and loved to fish and hunt.
Murray is survived by his current wife, Paulette, stepdaughter, Tanya, (Greg), granddaughter Beatrice, sister Sheila, (Tom), brothers David, Donald, (Rose), and his previous wife Joan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Esther and Earl and brothers Arlin, Robert and sister-in-law, Ann.
At Murray’s request, no service will be held.
Those wishing to honour Murray’s memory might consider a donation to Diabetes Canada, the Canadian Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
