GRAHAM, JUDY (Eastman)
Judy’s bright light went out peacefully at home on Tuesday May 14, 2024 at the age of 68 in the tender care of her lifelong love and partner, her husband Allan and held by her closest friends. Daughter of the late Pearl (Dukelow) and Mervin Eastman of Vernon. Sister to Bobby (Joanne). Judy was a loyal and steadfast friend, generous host and fun lover. Their home was always full of guests and happiness. She was a very special aunt to her nieces and nephews and their children. She had the ability to see each person in a way that made them know that to Judy they were special, they were accepted and they were loved. Judy had a 30-year career in the business office of Bell Canada Ottawa. She was also co-founder and partner of AJ’s Catering for 40 years. She had two full time jobs for over 30 years. Judy was a backbone of the Metcalfe community. She was instrumental in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local causes through events such as Shroomfest, the Metcalfe United Church Fish Fry and Fries for Charity. Judy was recognized on many occasions for her community service as an organizer who made things happen and never took no for an answer. Her legacy will carry on in the City of Ottawa “Judy Graham Community Service Award”. Allan would like to thank friends, family and the Metcalfe community for their unwavering support. Special thanks to her oncology team, Rideau Palliative Group and Bayshore Home Care for their kindness and excellent care. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday May 22. A Service in Memory of Judy will be held on Thursday May 23 in Chapel at 11 am. Donations to the Osgoode Care Center in Judy’s memory would be most appreciated.
