FORGET, ALINE (Duval)
A beautiful life on earth came to an end for Aline Forget (Duval) on Wednesday July 17, 2024 at the age of 78. With her beloved husband of 56 years, Doug Forget, Aline imparted a legacy of love upon her children, Dixon (Joanne) Forget and Sonya (Karl) Liedke, and her grandchildren, Alex, Gillian, Braeden, Bryson, and Zachary, who brought her tremendous joy and pride. Aline was a dear sister of Celestine (Germain, late Bernard) Ethier and the late Delorès (Fern) LaCroix, Normand (Lucille), Roland (Henriette), Marcel (Suzanne), Philippe (Jeannine), François (Agathe) and Réjean (Carmen). Predeceased by her parents Norbert and Anne-Marie Duval and her father and mother-in-law Louis and Edith Forget. Aline will always be remembered by her nieces and nephews from the Duval and Forget families. Aline will be remembered for her love of dance, piano, fitness, travel, shopping, cooking, and family. She had a passion for the arts and culture. Unforgettable are the everyday events that she made into occasions for family celebrations. Her joy, her smile, and her genuine goodness will be missed both near and far, but not forgotten. Adored by her brothers and sisters, Aline grew up in Gracefield and Low QC. She attended school in Montreal to become a fitness teacher. She retired from the Federal Government and returned to teaching fitness. Aside from living in Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba, Aline also lived in Holland and Germany, before finally settling in Osgoode, Ontario. In lieu of flowers or donation, Aline has requested that you hug the ones you love. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank Street, Metcalfe from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday July 23. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2540 Stagecoach Rd, Enniskerry, at 12 noon on Wednesday July 24. Interment to follow at Reids Mills Cemetery. Une belle vie sur terre s’est achevée pour Aline Forget (Duval) le mercredi 17 juillet 2024 à l’âge de 78 ans. Avec son époux bien-aimé depuis 56 ans, Doug Forget, Aline a transmis un héritage d’amour à ses enfants, Dixon (Joanne) Forget et Sonya (Karl) Liedke, et à ses petits-enfants, Alex, Gillian, Braeden, Bryson et Zachary, qui lui ont apporté une joie et une fierté immenses. Aline était la sœur de Célestine (Germain, feu Bernard) Ethier et de feu Delorès (Fern) LaCroix, Normand (Lucille), Roland (Henriette), Marcel (Suzanne), Philippe (Jeannine), François (Agathe) et Réjean (Carmen). Prédécédée par ses parents Norbert et Anne-Marie Duval ainsi que son père et sa belle-mère Louis et Edith Forget. Ses neveux et nièces des familles Duval et Forget se souviendront toujours d’Aline. On se souviendra d’Aline pour son amour de la danse, du piano, du fitness, des voyages, du shopping, de la cuisine et de la famille. Elle était passionnée par les arts et la culture. Les événements quotidiens qu’elle transformait en fêtes familiales sont inoubliables. Sa joie, son sourire et sa bonté sincère nous manqueront de près comme de loin, mais nous ne l’oublierons pas. Adorée par ses frères et sœurs, Aline a grandi à Gracefield et à Low QC. Elle a suivi des études à Montréal pour devenir professeur de conditionnement physique. Elle a pris sa retraite du gouvernement fédéral et est retournée à l’enseignement du conditionnement physique. En plus d’avoir vécu au Québec, en Ontario et au Manitoba, Aline a également vécu en Hollande et en Allemagne, avant de s’installer à Osgoode, en Ontario. Au lieu de fleurs ou de dons, Aline vous demande de serrer dans vos bras ceux que vous aimez. La famille et les amis sont invités à se réunir à la Maison funéraire familiale Daley, 6971, rue Bank, Metcalfe, de 14 h à 16 h et de 19 h à 21 h, le mardi 23 juillet. Une messe d’enterrement chrétien aura lieu à l’église St. John the Evangelist, 2540 Stagecoach Rd, Enniskerry, à 12 heures le mercredi 24 juillet. L’inhumation suivra au cimetière de Reids Mills.
