Marjorie Elaine Kelly (nee Palmateer)
with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marjorie during the evening of July 5, 2024 at the Heart of Hastings Hospice, Madoc.
Marjorie was raised in Tweed, born to the late Robert & Jennie Palmateer (McCaw). Marjorie created a family with her husband of 56 years, the late Garry Kelly, at their 4th generation family farm in Malone.
Daughter-in-law of the late William & Ruth Kelly (Jones).
Loving Mother of Kim Millard & husband Tim and Jeff Kelly & wife Rebecca.
Adored Grandma “Gerr” of Brendan Millard, Kaitlyn Kinch & her husband Dylan, Charles Kelly, Sydney Kelly, Benjamin Kelly and Great Grandma of Emma Marjorie Kinch.
Cherished Sister of Marion Devolin (Ron), Joan Brinson (Bob) and Bob Palmateer (Jane).
Marjorie will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins spread near and far.
Missed warmly by a much larger group of friends who loved her overwhelming interest in them and their lives.
After taking the Special Commercial Course in Tweed where she met Garry. Marjorie worked at Bank of Montreal in Downtown Toronto. She was an active community member throughout the years: Curling, Marmora Minor Hockey, Anglican Church Women and lending a hand to whomever was in need. Marjorie’s open and straight forward approach was loved and respected by all.

The family will receive friends at the Rushnell Funeral Home, 9 Bursthall St., Marmora on Sunday July 14, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service to be held on Monday at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 8 Bursthall St, Marmora at 11 am. Reverend Bob Wright officiating.
Interment to follow at Zion Cemetery. If desired donations to the St. Paul’s Anglican Church or Heart of Hastings Hospice. Online condolences: rushnell.com
