WHEELER, Leona May – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear mother
Leona at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Marmora on Friday, December 9, 2023, in her 87th year.
Daughter of the late Alex and Margaret Booth. Beloved wife of the late Nevada Wheeler.
Fondly remembered by her children Jim (Tammie) Wheeler, Dale (Chris) Taber, Rick (Janie) Wheeler, Janet
Bronson (late Steve), Donna (Ronnie) McQuigge, and Brenda (Mark) McQuigge.
Survived by her siblings Daniel Booth, Ralph Booth, Herson Booth, Burt Booth, Rob Booth, and Dean Booth.
Predeceased by her son-in-law Steve Bronson, sisters LueBelle and Irene, and great granddaughter Dakota Paige
Wheeler.
Wonderful grandma to 30+ grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and aunt to many
nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Rushnell Funeral Home, 9 Bursthall St., Marmora (613) 472-2531
on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 pm. Celebration of Life will be held directly after
visitation at 3:00 pm. Light luncheon will be held at the Marmora Lions Club (above arena) following
the Celebration of Life. The Lions Club will be open at 3:00 pm to receive family and friends if you are
unable to attend the Celebration of Life service at the funeral home.
Interment will be held in the Spring at Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
