It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Janet “Marilyn” Maloney (nee Sproul) at Belleville General Hospital on February 1, 2024 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Michael “Mickey” Maloney and parents James & Isobella Sproul (nee Thompson). She will be sadly missed by her children John Maloney (Vicki) of Marmora, Janet Flindall (Tom) of Trenton, Margaret Miller (Bryan) of Smith’s Falls. Grandchildren: Christa (Paul Hammock), Jason, Tim (Nikki) Maloney, Carla Muir (Greg), Trevor Flindall, Jazzmyn (Nick) and Michael Miller. Great-Grandchildren: Hayden, Jamie, Hannah Hammock, Tristin, Ryley Muir, Josalyn, Dominic Flindall, Scarlette, Isaiah, Madison and Emmett Maloney, Levi Randell. She is survived by sister-in-law Beverly Maloney (Driscoll) and brother-in-law Harold Maloney. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was employed by the TD Bank in Marmora until retirement in 1989. She was a long time member of the Catholic Women`s League and Lioness and Lions Clubs in the community. The family would like to thank Dr. Pang for his excellent care and the caregivers from Bayshore, Paramed and VON for their Home Support.
Visitation will be held at Rushnell Funeral Home, Marmora (613-472-2531) on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Parish, 38 Bursthall Street, Marmora, on Saturday at 10:30am. Spring Interment Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
