With great sadness we share the passing of Alan Ross Lawrence who passed away at Heart of Hastings Hospice, Madoc on November 11, 2023 in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of the late Patricia Winnifred Alan Lawrence (Deeth) for 67 years.
Loving father of Steve (Pam), Tom (Kristen), Gina Cranley (Kevin) and Kim DeGuerre (Greg).
Much adored Poppa of Ben (Jennifer), April, Camden, Kailey (Derek), Kelsey, Hudson, Victoria, Monica, Gavin, Colleen and Great-Poppa of Jacob, Gracelyn, Adeline, Kinsley, Bryce, Boden and Braylon.
Al was born in Oshawa to Evelyn & George Lawrence. He was the third of five children. Dear brother of Evelyn Rutledge (Ralph), George (Cathy) and the late Jeanette Hughes (Giles) and the late John.
Al will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Al was very involved in the Pentecostal Churches in Oshawa, Marmora and Stirling over the years. He played hockey for the Oshawa Generals, coached minor hockey in Marmora and loved to play horseshoes. Al created many beautiful paintings, winning many awards.
Family and friends are invited to Rushnell Funeral Home, 9 Bursthall Street, Marmora on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 5-8 pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Marmora Pentecostal Church, 53 Madoc St, Marmora on Thursday at 11am. Interment Zion Cemetery. Donations to Heart of Hastings Hospice, Madoc would be appreciated.
