It is with immense sadness that the family announces that Paul Thomas Somerville passed away
peacefully at home, on Thursday December 5, 2024. He was 54 years young. Born on January 26 in
Toronto, he was a loving father to Harrison, Carly, and Mia. A wonderful son to Bill and April, precious
brother to Steven (Diana) and Dawn (Mark) and fun uncle to Erin, Jamie, Lauren, Connor, Megan and
Cameron. He so loved his kids. They meant everything to him. He was a generous and forgiving man.
He will be sadly missed by his lifelong friends who could always count on him. Tiffany and his colleagues
at Research Capital were delighted to work with, in Paul’s words, “the longest serving Branch Manager on Bay Street.”
Spending time with his kids, golfing, gardening, cooking a good steak and collecting Jordans were just a
few of his favourite things to do. A true sports fanatic and betting guru, who got joy from making others laugh.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Paul’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
