It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved Marg, who passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the age of 74, surrounded by so much love. Devoted wife to Joe Zavaglia, to whom she has been lovingly married to for 55 years this past October. Cherished mother to Rocco (Pauline) Zavaglia, Jason (Natalie) Zavaglia and Anthony (Niki) Zavaglia. Proud grandmother (G-ma) to Elysia (Clarke), Joseph, Gabriel (Courtney), Riley, Sam, Tristan (Emily), Logan, Jacob, Maxx and great-grandmother (GiGi) to Mason and Deacon. Dearly missed by her brother Patrick (Sonja) McCabe as well as her brother-in-law’s Don and Larry. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends all across Canada. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Monica McCabe (nee Tardeval) as well as her siblings John, Mary and Moni. Margaret may be gone from this world; however, she lives on in the stories and memories she has left with all those she touched during her lifetime. As per Margaret’s wishes, and those of her family, a private cremation will be taking place. If you wish to take a moment to honour Marg, in lieu of flowers, the family is asking that instead you brew a strong cup of tea this weekend and raise it for her. If you use social media, tag #TeaWithMarg so they can see her enjoying a cup with you all. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333.
