It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our dearest Diane who passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 83. Devoted wife to Ken Bayley to whom she has been lovingly married to for 59 wonderful years. Cherished mother to Michael Bayley of Burlington and David Bayley of Etobicoke. Proud grandmother to Alexandra and Aidan. Dearly missed by her brother Jack. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends across Canada. Predeceased by her parents William and Peggy Tait (nee Percy) as well as her sister Rosalind. Diane may be gone from this world; however, she lives on in the stories and memories she has left with all those she touched during her lifetime. As per Diane’s wishes, and those of her family, a private cremation will be taking place. Memorial Gathering at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday September 20, 2024 from 3-6p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
