It is with a very heavy heart we announce the passing of Rodney Kent Jensen. Taken too soon on November 10th, 2024, he was a man, husband, father and grandpa. He loved taking care of his girls and anyone who needed it. He loved to fix everything under the sun and make people laugh with his quick wit. He was hero to many during his service with the Augusta Fire Department for over 14 years. He was a friend who was adored by many at Maple Leaf Campground. He helped his community as a plumber and owner of JJ Jensen Plumbing and Heating Ltd for over 40 years.
He will be deeply missed by his family: The love of his life and partner of 44 years, Susan Jensen (Smith). A loving father to Kristyn(Erik), Alyssa(Reid) and Kaitlyn(Jesse). Adoring Grandpa of Willow.
Survived by his brother, Randy Jensen(Lydia), John Jensen(Brenda). Sister in law Suzanne Jensen. Brother in law Jeff Smith(Debbie). Son in law to Stella Smith Johnston(Stewart Johnston). An uncle, nephew and cousin to many.
Rodney is predeceased by his parents Johannes and Norma Jensen, brother Robert Jensen, Father in law Reginald Dalton Smith.
Visitation, service and celebration of life will be held at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland. Date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, please, consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the OSPCA. Condolences, donations, memory candles, and special thoughts of Rodney may be left on the memory wall above.
