It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Beth) Fortier, taken too soon on November 16, 2024, at the age of 56.
Beth will be deeply missed by her beloved family: her partner of 29 years, Anthony (Tony) Fortier; her three sons, Jarred (Kelsey), Trevor (Sierra), and Dylan (Alexis). She is also survived by her mother, Marianne Fleming (Bill), and mother-in-law, Lynne Fortier (Raymond). Beth was a cherished sister-in-law to Michael (Keitha) and Mark (Brigitte), and a beloved aunt, niece, and cousin to many.
A dedicated educator, Beth spent over 20 years teaching at Wellington Public School, where she was a teacher, mentor and friend to countless students and colleagues. Her passion for helping others extended well beyond the classroom.
Beth’s love for horses was evident to all who knew her. Whether riding, competing, or coaching, Beth’s passion and dedication were clear.
Beth had a warm heart for animals of all sizes, and a wonderful sense of humor! She could always be counted on for the perfect joke or a good laugh and was always up for a game of cards.
Her spirit, generosity, and zest for life will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on December 5th, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Condolences, memory candles, and special thoughts of Beth may be left on the memory wall above.
