The family of Roger James Shute of London, Ontario are sad to share the news of Roger’s passing. Roger passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Village of Glendale Crossing. Roger was in his 79th year.
Roger was survived by brother Dennis Shute (Sharon); sister Sherry Shute; nieces Tracy, Michelle (William), and Bonnie; nephews Jason (Stefannie) and Daniel: and seven great-nieces and nephews Brittany, Carly, Corey, Alyshia, Amanda, Brooklynne and Haylie.
Roger was born on July 31, 1945, the second child of Gertrude (née Pohl) and Thomas Bryan Shute. Roger was a wonderful son, brother, and uncle – always there to help and support the family. Roger was trained in his calling as an automotive technician. His passion for vehicles; motorcycles, cars, trucks, and especially race cars, continued through his life. He could make any vehicle run at top performance.
Roger’s strength, determination, and grit allowed him to live his life to his fullest with spinal cerebellar ataxia.
A private visitation and cremation will take place at Westview Funeral Chapel, London. Donations can be made in memory of Roger to Ataxia Canada.
