Pantaleo, Giovanni “John”
Giovanni “John” Pantaleo, born in Messina, Sicily, Italy passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024, in his 75th year, at Victoria Hospital in London Ontario with his “Brother” and best friend, Joe DeSando by his side.
Predeceased by his children, Gaetana and Salvatore, his loving wife, Yolanda, his parents, Salvatore and Gaetana, and his siblings Giuseppe, Caterina, Lucia, Santa and Elena.
Survived by his brothers, Nicola (Lucia), Mario (Antoinetta), sister in law and brother in law Lucy and Nick D’Ascanio, brother in law, Joe Iannino and sister in law, Mary Alice Sorrenti. Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends in both Canada and Italy
Remembering John for his love of cooking and sharing that talent with friends, always making sure there was enough food to go around. He loved listening to his music selections on YouTube, often at high volumes, the rhythm bringing him happiness and joy!
John was a long time member of The Marconi Club of London where he enjoyed socializing and reminiscing with friends.
A special thank you to the many doctors, nurses and staff in the critical care trauma centre at Victoria Hospital. Your compassion and caring was very much appreciated.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at Kings Street, on Sunday. November 3, 2024, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, London on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 11:00am. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery
