With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon June Avery of Lindsay, Ontario who died peacefully with family surrounding her on June 28, 2024 at the age of 81 after a sudden and short battle with cancer. Sharon was taken from us so quickly, but we know she is now in a much better place and free from the terrible pain she endured.
Predeceased by beloved sister Maureen (Oram Moore), Sharon is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 63 years Gilbert Arthur Avery, lovingly missed by her three daughters Kimberley Candella (Dean) and Grandma to Chris (Natasha), Caitlin (Rob), Cole (Izzy); daughter Donna DiMarco (Anthony) and Grandma to Alicia (Stefan), Vanessa (Parham); and daughter Karen Little (Trevor) and Grandma to Marissa and Alanna. Sharon is also sadly missed by all her extended family of nieces (with special thanks to Lynne (Greg)), nephews, cousins and many friends.
Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, visitation will take place at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay Ontario, on Monday July 8, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00pm with a reception immediately following. Interment will take place at Little Britain United Church Cemetery following Sharon’s reception.
