John Scott “Scotty” Malcolm passed away peacefully at Victoria Manor, Wednesday April 3, 2024 at the age of 64. He was the beloved son of the late Ewart and Irene Malcolm. Treasured brother of Brian (D) and Marnie Malcolm, Blair and Gisela Malcolm, Marney and Ron Horton and Rod and Susan Malcolm. Special uncle to Bruce and Jenn Malcolm, Cameron Malcolm and Courtney Statten, Andrea Horton and Paul Sadler, Becky and Dean Sottana, Duncan and Julia Malcolm, Scott and Dana Malcolm, Kate Malcolm and Mike Jason, Tim and Emily Malcolm, Sabine Malcolm and Leslie and Kit Blackburn. Fondly remembered by his 13 great nieces and nephews. Scott loved his time at the cottage fishing, water-skiing, golfing and having the family around. He was an active and proud member of the Lindsay Kinsmen Club and worked at Burns Bulk Food for 25 years. Scotty enjoyed playing floor hockey, swimming and bowling with Special Olympics. He spent many happy years working at Arc Industries and Jobs R Us. Scotty was the proudest Blue Jay supporter and a master jigsaw puzzler. Lifetime member of Cambridge Street United Church, Lindsay. There will be a celebration of Scotty’s life at Cambridge Street United Church, Lindsay on Thursday April 18, visitation from 11:30 until time of service at 12:30. Reception to follow in the lower hall of the church. The family thanks the staff at Victoria Manor and in particular the Elford House staff for their exceptional care and friendship. Donations in Scott’s memory can be made to Community Living Trent Highlands or Special Olympics Canada.
